Property deeds for YEIDA areas to go online from June 1
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has implemented the citizen's charter to ensure seamless property registration and transfer. Beginning June 1, 2022, 17 facilities related to residential property transactions will be available online.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) recently announced that beginning June 1, 2022, all work related to the registration or transfer of residential property along the Yamuna Expressway areas will be done online only.
The authority has implemented the citizen's charter, which calls for the online availability of 17 facilities. To begin, the residential property transfer facility will be available online beginning June 1.
The authority has also written to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to facilitate the one-time password (OTP) check, following which buyer and seller verification would be made possible online based on Aadhaar registration.
"The reasons for making these 17 services available online are pending property transfer cases, difficulty in physical or challan verification, and no tentative timeline shared by the property department," explained Arun Vir Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), YEIDA.
Once the online services are in place, buyers and sellers will no longer need to visit the registration office to use them.
Furthermore, the additional CEO has been tasked with identifying officers and employees who fail to follow orders. The defaulters have been warned that strict action will be taken against them.
